El Torito at Shinjuku

My lovely Moroccan friend C brought me to her favourite Mexican restaurant for a fantastic dinner.

Located at Shinjuku Southern Terrace.

El Torito.

Tried to call in advance for a reservation a week earlier, but they were fully booked for a Friday night.
Decided to go early and camp for a table. We only had to wait about 30mins! Not bad! And it didn't feel long at all cos we were busy chatting and catching up.

One of their signature dishes - Tableside Guacamole.
Made on-the-spot with fresh avocado. Yummeh!

Grilled chicken avocado salad.

Very good margaritas.

Grilled chicken and beef fajitas.

C wasn't kidding when she said El Torito serves the best chocolate cake in town.
A little piece of heaven in each bite!

Washed everything down with more drinks.

El Torito has a wide variety of Mexican dishes, and I will definitely visit again to try the rest of the menu! Oh, 食欲の秋!

Canal Cafe

During our visit to Kagurazaka, we also popped by to Canal Cafe, which is in the vicinity. Canal Cafe is located in Iidabashi and has a romantic French ambiance.

Chilling by the Deck.

There is also an indoor section in the Cafe Canal, but we opted to sit by the deck as it was a lovely day outside.

Getting my yummy gelato.

Rowboats are available for rental if you are up for it.

It's even more beautiful at night.

The Canal Cafe is a romantic, cosy place to chill out. I wanna go there with my Mister when he's here in November.  Can't wait!

Kagurazaka 神楽坂

One day me and my lovely Korean friend M decided to walk 2 hours from Nakano to Kaguzaraka, just for fun.    It was good exercise!

Kagurazaka is a neighbourhood in Tokyo, with Iidabashii as the nearest station. It has many oshare little cafes and eateries offering Japanese and French cuisine.

There are also many winding backstreets filled with olden Japanese atmosphere.

We found a soba restaurant called Hamaya and it sells the best soba I have ever tasted. The friendly owner runs the restaurant all by himself and he is so nice! He gave us free dessert!

M's cool t-shirt - laugh with all my friends all over the world.
I love M very much!

The only Fujiya in Japan that sells Pekochan-yaki - pancakes shaped like Pekochan.

Delicious but creepy-looking ペコちゃん焼き.

Brains!

神楽坂, I will be back again.
